Well, the wait is finally over and we are thrilled to announce that our first mobile app, Zukmo for Android has been launched and is now freely available in the android marketplace.

Sign in:
Once you have downloaded the app and run it, you will be invited to sign in with your Zukmo ID and password. The Zukmo ID is your email address and the password in this case is the one we had emailed you upon registration. Please note that this password is generated by Zukmo and is not connected to your email login password.
Browse or Search your content:
Zukmo for Android comes bundled with a crisp content browsing view, which means that you can easily browse or search through all of your content items such as saved Bookmarks, Tweets, RSS feeds, Notes, Google docs, Desktop Documents etc.
Due to built-in synchronization feature, all the content items that you can view in your personal digital library in the cloud are now instantly accessible from your Android phone. Currently, we list all your content items in chronological fashion by default and provide for a way to list the favorites from the clickable icon on top.
What’s on the Menu?
In order to optimize on the content visibility and ease of use, we have pushed some functionality into the Android menu and present important functionality though long press menu options (Tap and Hold). Please note that for bookmarks, a quick tap will open the reader in which the bookmarked content is displayed in simplified form.
Click your phone’s Menu button, and you’ll be able to Refresh the content listing to fetch all the latest content, sign out the current session, exit the app without signing out and seeking help files.
More interestingly, if you press on any item listed for slightly longer duration, a menu will be displayed that displays the options to Add / Remove from favorites, Save for offline reading, display item in a reader and navigate from the displayed screen.
Within a reader, the same options are also present excepting one menu option (aka original view) which is modified to redirect to the original URL of bookmarked content.
Offline Reading:
Whenever content is viewed through the reader on the device, we provide the option for it to be stored offline for easy access later even when there is no network connectivity. This feature is available for bookmarked pages and notes.
If you lose or don’t have network connection at any point of time, using the Zukmo app will provide you with a listing of all such content items that have been saved offline. There is an option to sign back in once network connection is restored.
More to come:
This is simply the beginning with respect to our exciting venture in the mobile marketplace and we are laying out a broad plan for unveiling a mobile optimized web site of Zukmo so that our smart phone users can benefit immensely by directly browsing to Zukmo through their preferred mobile browser. In addition, we will also plan on releasing similar feature rich mobile apps for other popular devices such as iPhone/iPad in the near future.
