In our relentless drive to elevate Zukmo into the major leagues, we’ve scaled into exciting new dimensions for managing user information and turbo -boosted the range of features focused on the key areas of information access and exchange.

When we first started Zukmo, the premier goal was to solve the information overload problem consuming the digital lives of all Netizens and we rapidly progressed towards this objective by assisting our users to create and organize their personalized central hub for all the diverse content of interest to them. With our Beta edition, we have expanded on that foundation and enriched the productivity oriented features of information sharing and collaboration among users.

Unveiling Zukmo Sync:

We’re presenting a ground breaking solution that will turn productivity on its head for all our users and ensure rapid file synchronization across devices. you can get a real flavor of this by trying out the new Zukmo Sync Utility for the windows platform. Simply download and install it on every workstation (PC/ Laptop) that you access.

Please ensure that during the installation process, you fill in the login ID with your registered email address along with the Zukmo specific password that was provided in your registration email. Please note that this password is not your email password. In case you forgot that password, please go here to retrieve it.

Once installed, you will notice a special “Zukmo Sync” Folder under My Documents. This is the magic folder that automatically pushes your content to the cloud and enables the synchronization of all your files across workstations where you have installed the utility.

You can push any file or folder to this “Zukmo Sync” folder by simply right-clicking on it and selecting “Add to Zukmo” menu item.

Now, you can login to the Zukmo site and click on “My Files” to view the listing of all the files and folders pertaining to your account. You can also choose to perform keyword search on the title or content of your file listing and perform other actions like delete & download as well.

Your information is now effectively available wherever you are and you can seamlessly sync documents that you worked in your home computer with your office PC or the laptop that you use on the move.

Inviting Premium Users:

We are pleased to unveil the Premium Accounts for both personal and business users, who wish to enjoy and leverage an advanced feature set, priority support and unlimited options.

After careful deliberation, we decided to adopt a “Freemium” (free + premium) model for Zukmo, which in turn will provide us with the resources to ensure a quality product with improved customer service for all users.

Of course, users can choose to avail the free edition of Zukmo which still accommodates an adequate array of features. As you would notice from the pricing plan, almost all features bundled in this beta version are still available to free users as well albeit with the restrictions on storage space. However going forward, a majority of the robust features that are currently being planned for later introduction would be aimed solely for our Premium accounts.

Basic Collaboration:

Whenever you find any bookmarks or notes interesting enough to share with other Zukmo users and invite their comments, you can now avail the facility to collaborate with them. Zukmo offers basic sharing and collaboration so that you can connect with friends and get them to participate in discussions around topics of interest.

Simply click on “Collaborate” action link for any bookmark or note and choose the contacts that you wish to invite for their comments.

There is also an advanced contacts selection screen from which you can draw upon the list of contacts from your popular email providers (Yahoo, Google etc).

This would require that you add the specific email provider’s contact list as a service through an one time authorization process.

Notes Improvement:

We have upgraded the Notes edition to include the following features which enable the users to design notes that are catchy, professional and personalized.

  • Toolbar for the content editor that can be used for managing and manipulating the font, color, format and styling of notes.
  • Ability to clip images (either standalone or combined with text) from web pages.

Miscellaneous:

  • We have a new Learn More section that crystallizes all the features and functionalities and provides a quick learning guide for new and existing users.
  • We have provided a tabbed interface to segment the self-contained workspaces needed for Synchronization, Collaboration and Online Content Aggregation appropriately.
  • Please note that we have decommissioned the browser upload for desktop docs in the Zukmo Site and the corresponding desktop utility, if present, will also be uninstalled automatically when the Zukmo Sync utility is installed.
