Three days back in a privately held event, Windows gave the media a preview of Windows TH (Windows 10). I got to see a preview from this video! Though the Video failed to explain how it is going to revolutionize the IT community, I have witnessed some rumours here and there. With this announcement, there are some interesting talks among some of the IT communities I follow. IT people are interested in getting more out of it and So am I.

Here in our campus, we already have some Windows fanboys who signed up for the Windows Insider Program. This is to understand how the new Windows version works and to get more insights from the core of the operating system. Those insights will be counted and will enrich the stability of the backup services that we will provide once Windows 10 is launched for consumers.

With Windows 8, Microsoft launched a common interface – Metro UI. It is applicable to mobile devices (of course tablets) and PCs. In a similar fashion, Windows 10 inherits this functionality. We have always emphasized practising BYOD and it is has been beneficial that Microsoft differentiates corporate data from personal data. This is a great on-the-go model that we have foreseen when we released our file-sharing application for mobile devices and tablets.

Though features embedded for IT were not mentioned, we could visualize IT people finding new ways to innovate, like with Windows 8.x’s ability to spin up VMs. So who knows what the next bomb from Microsoft could be? Like some of you out there, we are getting our hands dirty with the Windows TH insider program and hope to find some awesome new ways to integrate new technologies.
