Earlier, when Vembu OnlineBackup was made available as an iOS application in the appstore, we had an overwhelming response from our Apple customers. Now, we’ve decided that it’s time to simplify the workload of our Android customers.
Yes, Vembu OnlineBackup (VOB) is finally ready with its Android App for market launch.
Purpose:
VOBAndroid App is developed for customers to manage activities in the customer portal from any mobile Android device. The main purpose is to make their monitoring of an ongoing backup job easier while on the go and help them multitask on other functions without worrying about the backups.
Key Features and Functionalities:
- Customers can leverage the flexible look and feel of the customer portal through their mobile devices.
- This app provides an overview and progress of all the activities like backup, restore and deletion of backups that are being handled in the customer portal.
- Allocated and utilized space on the server as well as space used by clients can be tracked.
- Special reports like failed backup, success backups, partial backups and missed backups can be viewed from a single page.
- Customers can view the number of existing clients, new clients, number of backups given by each client along with the respective backup names and size.
- Customers can view reports of restored and deleted backups.
- Each and every event can be tracked under the events page by using the priority chosen in the settings page.
- Customers can filter events individually among minor, major, critical, information, warning or else we can look at all events at a time by choosing all in settings.
- Besides events, customers can also filter modules such as backup, restore, authentication, server settings, user account, server side delete, client side delete, configuration communication, SQL server plugin, exchange server plugin, software update, network, replication, server connection, image backup plugin, Mysql server plugin individually or else it is possible to overlook all modules by choosing all.
- In the settings page we have option to change dashboard summary report like for last 1 day, last 2 days, last 3 days, last 7 days, last 15 days and finally last 30 days to view the reports from present day to past one month.
- Another main feature is in order to move from one account to another there is no need to logout of the current account in order to login into another one. Instead we have option called select and add account.
- And we have two logout options – one is “LOGOUT” to logout from the current account and the other is “LOGOUT ALL SERVERS” to logout from all the accounts.
