How to Backup MySQL with BDRSuite
Image-level Backup
MySQL running on a Virtual Machine (VMware or Hyper-V host) or a Physical Machine (Windows OS) can be backed up at image level using BDRSuite.
It will be an agentless deployment where users will add the specific VMware or Hyper-V host to the BDRSuite and backup can be configured for the VM running the MySQL.
In case the MySQL is running on a Physical Windows machine, that particular machine can be added to the BDRSuite Backup Server and Image/Disk level backup for the MySQL can be configured.
For Image level MySQL backup, BDRSuite will run a custom App-aware script to enable consistent backup processing.
Application-level Backup
BDRSuite will let you choose the MySQL Server and the database to configure the MySQL backup.
You can choose this option if you want to backup only the application and not the entire machine on which MySQL server is running.
Perform incremental backups of your MySQL databases using utility tools to dump the data locally before transferring to the backup storage repository of the BDRSuite Backup Server.
