Vembu supports Exchange Mailbox / Mail Level Recovery, SharePoint Site / Object Level Recovery, MS-SQL Table Level Recovery and Active Directory. A file level granular recovery using Vembu BDR can be performed with a few simple steps:
- Mount the drive virtually.
- Attach a .vhd file in disk management.
- Explore the drive to pick up the files as required.
Exchange Recovery:
Microsoft Exchange provides an efficient access to email, calendars, contacts, and tasks. You can browse, search and selectively export items directly from Vembu backups of your Exchange 2007, 2010 and 2013 virtual machines (VMs). Exchange servers are regularly backed up and can perform a granular recovery of mailboxes, folders, e-mails, tasks, notes, calendars directly from Exchange database files (. edb) using EDB mail level restore.
MS-SQL Table Level Recovery:
Vembu BDR’s SQL Server plugin uses VDI API to change data from a database. You can restore an SQL database in two ways:
- Restore to new database.
- Overwrite the existing database.
The Table Level Recovery tool is used to recover tables dating back to a specific point in time and those that have been logically corrupted or dropped.
Prerequisite:
- MS SQL Server 2014.
- .Net framework 4.
- Microsoft Excel 2010 (for xls file format recovery).
Sharepoint Restore:
SharePoint is used to create websites which maintain a secure workspace to organize, share and access information. Vembu BDR supports a site-collection level backup of SharePoint versions SPS2003/WSS2.0 and MOSS2007/WSS3.0. Restoring files and directories is quite simple and can be done easily.
Active Directory Restore:
The Active Directory includes static information about computer users, groups, printers, computer network configuration data and so on. You can quickly restore Active Directory to pinpoint changes or specific data.
