As the holiday seasons approach, people are buzzing to get gifts to their family & friends. And in this digital world, people are no longer traveling to best selling outlets or stores, but are wired to E-Commerce websites.

Notable sites such as Amazon and Best Buy are increasingly seeing huge traffic and sales compared to previous years. Both these online market giants have increased their stock tremendously during the big sale week, owing to the need of their customers. Just as the physical entity of the actual market has changed from super discount stores to cyber market, much of the sales products are also digital media products. Its trendy for people to go for a eBook reader with free preloaded eBooks rather than read a book in print.

The holiday sale is not just about getting gifts for the upcoming celebrations since many consumers also buy for their personal needs during the same period. The e-marketplace leaders are offering many household products and appliances with whopping reduced prices. During this year’s holiday season, along with new sales, new job opportunities have also emerged. Amazon is hiring 80,000 seasonal employees, a 14% increase from last year. No doubt, it will break its own record of shipping 426 items per second and 37 million items in total during last year’s cyber Monday sale. This year’s statistics are expected on Tuesday.

Along with the increase in manpower, Amazon has also introduced some interesting new employees in its warehouse. An army of 15,000 Kiva robots have been deployed country wide to help its employees tackle the big year end sale. With the help of these robot’s precision handling and faster response, the delivery time and accuracy is expected to improve this year. Amazon has recently deployed its new warehouse, The Tracy warehouse. Now, it has a total of ten man and robot powered eighth generation warehouses in work for this holiday.

Amazon is said to be offering a new deal every ten minutes with exclusive “Lightning Deals” on all its mobile apps. Interestingly, Amazon has also cancelled its “Next-Day delivery” service for this season in Britain alone. The giant has said amidst the 8 day “Cyber Monday” run, additional service and privileges had to be put on hold. This has upset some special customers and many of the Britain “Last-Day-Gift Hunters”. What’s more upsetting is that, the same service will only resume by January 2015. Experts have predicted that in Britain alone, total of 650 million  pounds is expected to be spent online by Britain on just the first opening day.

The predictions are likely to be true, considering the rush and accidents bound to happen in these stores. With all these drop dead online offers, increased items on sale and robotic help, this years e-commerce timely sales is expected to be more than any witnessed in the past. Tuesday’s much awaited stats will deliver the final word.
