We are excited to announce that Vembu BDRSuite v5.3 is now available for download.
Configuring & managing backups for File Server & Endpoints from a centralized console is one of the most requested features from our customers & partners. As this is one of the major features, we gathered inputs from the users through various surveys immediately after our 5.0 release and started working on this feature. After intensive testing, we are releasing this feature generally to all the users from BDRSuite v5.3.
We have also added new features and made significant improvements to BDRSuite based on customer feedback and modern data protection trends. Some of the most important features of v5.3 are Microsoft Azure Blob Storage Support, Active Directory Integration, and Backup Integrity Check on VMware ESXi Server.

New Features
File Server Backup from Backup Server UI
You can now add Windows and Linux servers to the Data Source and configure backup for files & folders from the BDRSuite Backup Server console. Backup agents can be automatically pushed from the backup server or manually installed on the required servers. This feature enables you to manage the backup and recovery of a large number of Windows and Linux machines from the centralized management console.
Endpoint Backup from Backup Server UI
You can now configure File & Folder Backup of multiple Windows & Linux Endpoints directly from the BDRSuite Backup Server console. The agents can be manually installed on the target system or automatically pushed. You can also use the CSV file to add multiple endpoints in bulk. With this feature, you can centrally manage the backup and recovery of thousands of endpoints.
Azure Blob as Backup Repository
Microsoft Azure Blob is one of the most popular object storage destinations for storing backup data. BDRSuite now supports storing the primary backup data and backup copy data on the Azure Blob. So, you can now backup the VMware, Hyper-V VMs, Physical Machines(Windows, Linux, Mac), Endpoints, Applications, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace data directly to Azure Blob storage.
Active Directory Integration
For seamless user management, BDRSuite Backup Server now integrates with Active Directory. You can import and add AD/LDAP users to the BDRSuite Backup Server, as well as grant them different levels of access.
Integrity Check on VMware ESXi Server
You can now use the VMware ESXi hosts to confirm the recoverability of the physical & virtual machine backup. Based on the configuration, the automatic boot test of backed-up machines will be run on the specified ESXi hosts.
