BDRSuite v7.1.5 – New Features, Enhancements & Bug Fixes
New Features
- Device Replacement: Effortlessly synchronize a newly installed backup agent on an existing protected machine (Server & Endpoint), ensuring seamless backups. Previously, a new backup job had to be configured after the existing machine encountered an issue or the agent was uninstalled. Now, the new agent automatically connects to the previous backup configuration and continues the backup schedule after an additional full backup.
- Simplified Host Addition to Existing Backup Job: Easily add new Servers or Endpoints to existing backup jobs. Previously, adding a new host to an existing job was time-consuming, as the process was similar to configuring a new backup, requiring you to go through all the steps again using the ‘edit’ option. Now, the process is simplified by allowing you to straightforwardly add the host and its data to an existing job.
- Windows Server 2025 Compatibility: BDRSuite now supports Microsoft Windows Server 2025 for Hyper-V Backup & Replication, as well as the installation of Backup Server, Offsite DR Server, and Remote Proxy.
- Backup Report Viewing for Read-Only Tenant Users: Read-only tenant users can now monitor backup activity and review data protection status for SaaS applications.
Enhancements
- Enhanced Search Functionality on the Protected Entities Page
- Download Details of Protected Entities Now Include Last Backup Time and Last Connected Time
- Added Host-Level Details to Server & Endpoint Backup Reports for Better Insights
- Simplified Listing of Servers & Endpoints by Removing IP Addresses and DNS Names
- Introduced Agent Host Name as a New Column in Export Options for Improved Reporting
- Implemented a Clear Alert Message for Disk Backup Job Configurations
- Parallel file open support to optimize backup times significantly
