Though backups are securely stored in backup server, there exists an ever threatening risk of hardware failure that occurs without prior alert. Such disasters if strikes, will put the safety measures of backup data under question and the possibilities of a natural disaster will result in even worse outcome such as site level demolition.
Hence it is recommended for companies to have an added copy of their business critical data in cloud storage. CloudDR option with Vembu allow users to send business data offsite securely to Vembu cloud servers. In the event of On-premise server crash or onsite disaster, CloudDR option allows instant data recovery.
There are multiple options for restores including booting a live VM on our cloud, anytime anywhere restore via internet or restored data can be downloaded to USB drive and shipped.

Procedure to Set Up Cloud DR
Step 1: To enable CloudDR Vembu VMBackup server should be registered with the Vembu Portal.

Step 4 : Click Save and Proceed to Configure Retention.
Here you can configure retention for the replicated data and restrict maximum full backup to be retained which will reduce the size of the backup images in Vembu Cloud.
Step 5 : Click Save the changes to finish CloudDR Configuration.
Once you save the configuration, replication will run as per the scheduled configuration.
