3.How much does Vembu Cloud Import cost?
Device Handling – $80.00 per storage device handled.
Data Loading Time – $2.49 per data-loading-hour. Partial data-loading-hours are billed as full hours. Loading time depends on disk speed, type of files stored (large number of small files tend to increase load time). You can estimate load time by using this calculator: http://awsimportexport.s3.amazonaws.com/aws-import-export-calculator.html
4.Will there be shipping charges?
US Partners – No charges for return addresses within the US. Charges for addresses outside the US will be calculated based on destination and weight.
EU Partners– No charges for return addresses within Ireland. Charges for addresses outside Ireland will be calculated based on destination and weight.
5.When should the payment be made?
Upon receiving your service request, a disk handling charge of $80 will be deducted from the storage credit available in your Vembu OnlineBackup account. If your account doesn’t have enough credit, your request will be automatically rejected. The additional data loading charges will be deducted from your account after the import is completed.
6.Can I ship multiple disks in one shipment?
No. Vembu Cloud Import request can only be done for one disk at a time. For multiple disks, multiple requests have to be processed.
Be sure to ship the appropriate cables and power adapters with the disk.
7.What should be the maximum size of the shipped disk?
16 TB
8.How long will the entire import process take?
It usually takes 2 business days to complete the import process. Larger data size, larger file count and slower disk speed could affect the time involved.
9.Can backup data from multiple clients be imported through the same disk?
Yes, you can run backups from multiple client machines into the same disk and import it in one shot.
For example, say you have 2 customers – each with 3 client machines to be backed up. You can attach the disk in each client machine one-at-a-time and run the backups. Just make sure backups from all 6 clients are in the same folder(1/) in the disk:
1/clientID1/
1/clientID2/
Also make sure size of data in the disk doesn’t exceed 16TB.
