Physical to Virtual (P2V) Conversion:
Vembu BDR provides you with numerous choices as restore options such as:
- Downloading as VMDK for disk image backups, which is used for restoring a physical machine to VMWare environment and
- Downloading as VHD option, which is used for getting the same physical machine installed in an Hyper-V environment.
There is an additional option called ‘instant boot’ that lets you instantly convert backups as a VM on a Hyper-V environment.
Virtual to Physical (V2P) conversion:
In Vembu BDR, the backups of a virtual machine can be downloaded, with the option to download the backup as an image file. The image file is used for converting the virtual machine into a physical environment using a recovery CD provided by Vembu.
