VMUG SoCal exceeded our expectations! At any of these tech events or conferences you can find vendors of two types:
- Those who want as many people as possible to sign up for their product
- Those who want to use this opportunity to have quality interaction with the attendees and discuss not just the product but also about end-user pain points.
Needless to say, we belong to the latter.
That is probably why we could consistently improve our product over the years clearly targeting the end-user worries and get nothing but praise when we demoed our latest version Vembu BDR Suite v4.0.1.
While other vendors get bogged down with needless features delivered to users in a clunky UI, we decided to make our product easy-to-use with more features than you could want, at a price you can afford.
Vembu BDR Essentials was a clear hit by delivering on exactly what was promised. It is an exclusive package that cuts down your backup expenditure if your requirements are up to 10 CPU sockets or 100 VMs.
From our growing customer base, it became evident for us that Vembu BDR Suite is successful in meeting the requirements of small businesses. We also realized there are many mid-sized businesses using expensive legacy backup solutions which led us on a quest to find what their requirements are and how we can deliver on them.
After months of user research, customer feedback, partner inputs and feature prioritization in our roadmap, we are now in the course of adding features that mid-businesses are looking for like:
- Support for EC2 instance backup
- Ability to spin up an instance from your backup
- Support for the storage-level snapshot backup
- And a lot more!
When we shared our plans to the VMUG attendees on scaling and handling bigger and advanced backup requirements, we got the same response from everyone – “Vembu is the only alternative to the High-Availability vendor in the market”.
It was great meeting all the VMware enthusiasts and learning about them. We hope to meet more in the upcoming events.
