How does Vembu integrate with your Office 365 Environment?

  • Go to saasbackup.vembu.com, login to the console and click on Office 365 tab
  • Register a new Vembu 365 domain by clicking on Add Account option
  • You will be redirected to the login page of Microsoft Office 365
  • Provide the account credentials of user/admin that is required to be taken as a backup
  • You will be requested to grant permission to Vembu SaaSBackup to access the account for performing backup job
  • Read the details mentioned and Click ‘Accept’, you will be redirected to Office 365 backup page

This will make Vembu integrate to your Office 365 account allowing it to access the domain or the user for the backup

  • Now we need to add the OneDrive
  • Click on OneDrive option available under the particular domain
  • You will be redirected to the login page of Microsoft OneDrive
  • Provide the account credentials of OneDrive that is to be backed up
  • Allow permission to Vembu SaaSBackup in order to access account for performing backup job
  • Read the details mentioned and Click ‘Accept’, you will be redirected to Office 365 backup page

After adding the domain and Onedrive, we are ready to backup.

Configuration

Step 1: Choose either of the options based on the requirement

  1. Backup my entire Domain
  2. Let me choose the users manually to backup

Step 2: Schedule the backup job.

Specify the time for the backup job to perform on a daily basis and proceed.

Step 3: Review the configurations chosen and proceed to run the backup job.

Steps to integrate Vembu with your Google Apps

Click on the Google Apps tab. Now, you will be able to backup the Google Apps data (mails, calendars, events, contacts, and Drive) by adding domain-level access to Vembu SaaSBackup application.

  • Click on Google Apps tab
  • Register a new Vembu 365 domain by clicking on Add Account option
  • You will be redirected to install Vembu SaaSBackup app from Google Apps Marketplace
  • After installation, you will be requested to provide login details
  • Once logged in, you will be requested to allow offline access to Vembu SaaSBackup
  • Click allow and proceed

The configuration of the backup job for Google Apps works the same way as mentioned for the Office 365

Recovery

Step 1: click on the Office 365 tab and you will have all the added accounts listed along with various options.

Step 2: Click restore option alongside the respective account you want to restore data from.

Step 3: Choose the domain or the user you wish to restore and click restore Now option.

Step 4: Either select a specific set of mails or calendars, events or contacts or files from OneDrive to restore and proceed with Next.

Note: You can also filter mailbox, contacts, and calendar using the search option and select specific mails/contacts/documents/calendar for restore.

Step 5: Once done selecting the data for restore, proceed with Next.

Step 6: Choose the account you want the data to be restored.

Step 7: Click restore to initiate the process.

You can also monitor the restore progress and ensure it gets successful and the same procedure can be performed for the Google Apps also.
