A matter of fact? Here’s the proof

Let’s take into consideration a physical Windows Server 2012 R2.

The machines run an MS Exchange Server 2010 application. Along with the application, the machine also processes a humongous amount of data. This Windows Server 2012 R2, thus clutches some of the most important data required for the business organization.

An unfortunate scenario to be imagined of this Physical machine falling a prey to some plotted ransomware or is hit by an unexpected disaster or might be in a context of business continuity, a Downtime!

How can you get back your data?

Oh yes! Now I remember, you must be having the backed up image file of your machine with the help of Vembu ImageBackup. Right? Smart!

Well, a sense of relief knowing that you can get back your data but now the question is how easily you can build a new machine exactly as same as the primary source which you lost.

With Vembu Bare-Metal Recovery, you can survive the loss by performing the restoration in just a few steps:

  • Restore your Image-level backup data from the Vembu Backup Server, in VHD format through Download recovery option
  • Then, Install WAIK and download the Vembu Recovery CD using which an ISO file will be created
  • Insert a blank CD in CD/DVD drive and burn the created ISO file in the CD
  • Using the downloaded backup data and the CD, you can get back your machine from the scratch at ease

I can relate to the problem IT pros face when it comes to the same recovery done with a manual procedure!

In the normal process of recovery, the backup data has to be fetched from the backup software, you need to get a new hardware ready onto which you need to install the operating system and the application.

Wait! It’s just not the operating system or the application but the Windows 2012 R2 operating system and the application demanded to be only the MS Exchange Server 2010 with no excuse in the change of the version. After which you can upload your backup data to bring back your source machine to the state it was before the disaster. All this to be done manually one after the other, and shortcomings will be obvious due to human interventions.

This stands as a proof of how efficiently Bare-Metal Recovery works in comparison to the manual procedure.
