Beginning the restore process

When you trigger the Disk/Partition restore process, the Vembu BDR backup server will perform the steps that are mentioned below -

• Vembu BDR backup server checks if you have configured a disk or partition for the restore process. If disk option is selected, the entire target disk will be formatted, if partition is selected, the entire partition in the disk will be formatted.
• The new disk/partition in the target will be constructed from the source files using the .SBC file.
• From the backup storage repository, the chunk files will be read and written in the target disk/partition based on the selection.
• Once this process is completed, the files will be made accessible.
