MS Exchange Server Backup Schedule

This section contains information that are needed to edit a configured MS Exchange Server Backup schedule in Vembu NetworkBackup.

How to get here in the Vembu NetworkBackup Web Console?

From the Vembu NetworkBackup client, select Backup tab and click List Jobs. From the list of backup schedules, click the Edit icon in the edit column of the MS Exchange Server backup schedule that you want to edit.

Note: Only some of the configuration options are editable.

The following options are editable:

• Temporary location for backup dumps
• Full Backup Scheduling settings
• Full Backup Retention Count
• Synthetic Full Backup Scheduling settings
• Log Backup Scheduling settings
• Run Additional Full Backup after saving this configuration
• Run Additional Synthetic Full Backup after saving this configuration

Note: You cannot select to run both 'Additional Full Backup' and Additional Synthetic Full backup after saving this backup configuration,  choose any one option.

• Max. No. of Full backups to be retained in the server
• Run this backup every 5 minutes in case of non completion because of a problem (Network error etc.)

The following options are additional configurable options:

Run Additional Full Backup after saving this configuration:

When this option is selected Vembu NetworkBackup will take an additional full backup for the Exchange Server database(s) configured in this schedule after saving this configuration.

The following options are not editable:

• Configured Backup Source
• Job Name
• Encryption (and password)
• Backup Server(s)
• Exchange Databases configured for the backup schedule cannot be removed or additional databases cannot be added into the backup
