How to Restore SharePoint with BDRSuite

Granular Recovery for SharePoint items

BDRSuite supports Instant item level recovery for SharePoint items which include SharePoint Sites, Libraries, Files etc. You can either restore the individual objects to the same SharePoint server or different server.

• In the BDRSuite Backup Server navigate to the Recovery -> Restore Backup Data
• Click the “Restore” button alongside the backup job which includes VMs/Disks running the Microsoft SharePoint that you want to restore
• Select “Microsoft SharePoint Recovery” option and proceed to configure recovery and restore the Microsoft SharePoint data

Image-level Recovery of SharePoint

When the source SharePoint server is unreachable due to a system crash or major disaster, you can recover the VM or physical machine by:

• Instantly restore the SharePoint server as a VM on ESXi, Hyper-V or KVM with the Instant Boot VM option
• Restore the entire VM in which the SharePoint was running using the Full VM Recovery
• You also have the option to restore the backed-up SharePoint Server as a Azure VM using Recovery to Microsoft Azure option
