VMware VM Replication

VMware VM Replication helps to replicate the business critical VMs from one ESXi host to another host. The replicated VM will be in standby mode on the target ESXi host. During a disaster or system crash, you can failover the production operation to the replica VM on the target and continue with your business operations. Also, you can permanently failback the replica VM to any ESXi host.

Agentless VM Replication – VMware VM data can be replicated from source ESXi host to target host without the need of installing proxies in Host or VM
Changed Block Tracking – Track the changed blocks and replicate only the modified block for efficient incremental replication
Network and IP remapping – Automatically map production host network and IP address with the DR host network to avoid manual work during replica failover
File level recovery – Recover individual files and folders instantly from replica VMs without having to restore it completely.
Failover – During a system crash or disaster, power on the replica and continue your business operation in the replica VM to reduce the business downtime. You have an option to failover over the Replica VM from the last 7 recovery points. You can undo the failover operation or permanently use the replica VM in case of permanent source failure.
Failback – If you cannot recover the source VM from damage or disaster, you can move the replica VM to the source or different ESXi and use it as a source VM.
