Manage Backup Job Copy
The Manage Backup Copy feature can be used in the BDRSuite Backup Server by navigating to the Backup tab -> Manage Backup Copy
The data you want to backup is chosen and a backup job is created. As per the configuration steps, the backup data is encrypted, compressed, and is stored as chunks in the particular Backup Repository.
Note: Multiple Volumes/Storage devices can be mapped and added to the BDRSuite Backup Server. |
As mentioned in the previous paragraph, the backup data is sent to a particular repository. Apart from having this backup data in one repository, you can now create copies of this backup data itself and choose to store it on another repository. Likewise, multiple repositories can be used for storing the same backup data.
BDRSuite considers the already configured Backup Jobs for this task and uses them to create copies. As a result of which multiple Backup Job Copies can be created and different repositories can be chosen for storing the backup data.
Hence, the same backup data is stored in multiple storage locations within the production environment.
