Disabling Compression & Encryption
BDRSuite by default enables compression and encryption of backup data before it is stored in the backup repository. However, if your block storage hardware supports deduplication, you have the option to disable compression and encryption. This allows you to leverage the deduplication capabilities of your block storage hardware for more efficient storage utilization.
In the Create New Block Storage Repository page, click on the 'Disable compression and encryption' for this repository option.
This feature can be enabled only for block storage media of any repository type i.e. Simple, Scale-Out, Disk Rotation.
