Manage Backup Job Template
1. Basic Template Details
Backup Job Template Name: Enter a name for the template.
Template Type: Choose for module you want to create a template for.
Backup Repository: You can either choose block storage or the object storage.
Repository Name: Already added repositories under the type of repository that was selected in the previous step will be listed. Based on the requirement you can choose any from the list. If you haven't added any repository or want to create a new one then click on the 'Add Repository' option.
Use existing template configuration: If you have already created a template and want to use the same configuration process for all the further steps then you can click 'Yes' else choose 'No'.
Select an existing backup job template : If you have selected 'Yes' in the previous step then all the existing backup job templates will listed and you can choose from them.
Template Description : Give a description for the template you are creating.
2. Files/Folders Selection
Job-Level Files/Folders Selection
Select the files and folders that you want to backup. You can choose from predefined folders or enter a specific file/folder path. The selected files and folders will be applicable for all the selected hosts. The chosen file will be listed on the right side of the page.
Note: This page allows selection of files/folders at once, for all the hosts in this backup job. |
Job-Level Exclusion
Specify the file/folders types to be included/excluded from backup. The inclusion/exclusion filter settings can only be applied globally for all the hosts configured in this backup job. You can also select from the three different filter modes. Click here to learn more on filters.
3. Scheduling
You can schedule for all the different types of backup that will be done for a particular backup job like the Incremental backup, Additional full backup and also set few advanced schedule settings.
4. Settings
The following different actions can be set for the backup job template;

b. Encryption

5. Review
Review all the configuration settings and save the backup job template.
Using this Backup template you can backup you Mac machines. You only need to select the Mac machine that you want to backup and choose this template and you are all set to run the backup job. Multiple such template scan be created and used.
